Steve Trojan, CPA, CDFA

Steve Trojan is a CPA, licensed in the states of Colorado and Illinois,  and has 30 years of experience dealing with small and mid-sized companies.  His experience includes organizations in size from 1 to 400 people in industries such as machine tools, consumer products, electronics, and consulting.  He focuses his time on tax planning for small business and their owners, cash flow improvements, profit improvement, business planning & forecasting, start-ups & acquisitions and general business coaching.

Mr. Trojan is a graduate of the University of Colorado Business School, is a CPA in the States of Colorado and Illinois.  Mr. Trojan was a tax and accounting counselor at the Small Business Development Center at McHenry County College where he counseled clients interested in learning about starting or expanding their business.  Previously, Mr. Trojan served as Treasurer for McHenry County PADS, and Treasurer for The Lakeside Legacy Foundation.

Sarah joined us in September 2018 and handles administrative duties. She is our point of contact for clients and handles duties such as assisting clients with tax document drop-offs and pickups, maintaining client portals and handling other client requests.

Judy Lynn, CPA

Judy joined us in 2017 and works out of the Crystal Lake office. She handles tax preparation for businesses, individuals, and trusts. Judy is a graduate of Illinois State University with a Bachelors of Business in Accounting, has a Masters Degree in Taxation from Northern Illinois University and is a Certified Public Accountant in Illinois. Her focus is on building long-term relationships when working with small business owners and individuals to understand questions and concerns while providing efficient, informed and accurate tax preparation and planning. Her twelve years of tax experience along with skills acquired working as a financial statement auditor in a national public accounting firm provide a strong background to be able to research any tax issue and furnish clients with knowledgeable tax advice.

Judy enjoys reading, going to movies, walking her aging black Lab, and will almost always drop everything if one of her adult children stops by for a visit and a card game. She tries to find time each year to be soothed and humbled by a walk in the waves of an ocean with her husband.

Tammy works out of the Crystal Lake office and will handle tax preparation, QuickBooks consulting and troubleshooting, and client bookkeeping. Tammy is a graduate of Western Illinois University with a Bachelors of Business in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant in Illinois.  She has over 20 years of accounting experience in a variety of fields including large corporate accounting, public accounting for small businesses and individuals and hedge fund accounting.  She lives in Crystal Lake with her husband.  She enjoys traveling, reading, biking and spending time with her family and pets.

Shannon Wakitsch

Shannon currently handles administrative duties for the Crystal Lake office. She handles a wide variety of tasks including assisting clients with tax document drop-offs and pickups, setting up and maintaining portals and other client requests. Shannon has a number of years of experience working in a support function, and most recently worked as a Military Education Benefits Specialist for a large university. Shannon is a devoted Bears, Cubs and Blackhawks fan. She likes to cook and enjoys music, sports, fishing and being out on the water.
